I am a PhD candidate in Economics at Northeastern University. My research fields are health economics and labor economics, with a focus on how healthcare privatization and place-based tax policies reshape local labor markets.
My job market paper studies the labor market effects of Puerto Rico's 1993 healthcare reform, which replaced the island's public delivery system with privatized managed care. Using staggered difference-in-differences methods, I document how system-wide privatization produces different effects than those previously documented in individual hospital privatization.
I'm always happy to connect and discuss new projects!
